It leads to more requests, but after page load, and only when you need the code. Why load code your app isn't necessarily going to use?

If your main source of energy is from light, and water diffracts light, potentially making it harder or less efficient to use, does it not make sense that the better you're able to keep your energy harvesters clear, the more energy you

I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments here. This seems like a very well-executed collaborative document editing system, especially with "the button" that allows you to edit anywhere. Sure you can use Git or Wor

What's silly to me about the original argument is that the authors think that our ancestors fought in a kind of "put your dukes up" kind of fighting where only punches are thrown. While not an expert in the subject, I feel it

I feel like coding challenges like these are contrived and really prove nothing. Cool, you can create a "palindrome index." Can you effectively lazy load assets in an app on demand? Can you architect your CSS in a way that only th

While amazing generalists/full-stack guys are great, having very strong individuals own a particular domain of the code can have its benefits as well. Sure, you miss a bit of oversight, but when you're in the building phase and yo

While it may be functionally great, it just smells wrong to have a CSS property that you're pretty much only supposed to set via JS that you're supposed to remove after you've set it .

It's definitely on the roadmap. Any site that helps a potential candidate present themselves to a prospective employer makes sense to connect with. Bitbucket is coming soon.

It's definitely not always true, for sure, but in our experience and with the companies we've worked with, almost unanimously their first comment was always, "Man, it'd be cool if I could see a breakdown of their GitHub

We actually pull your most recent 30 actions, both public and private (if you connect a full account, public only obviously if you connect your public account), which is to say, we only hit the API for one page of activity data. All that me

To be honest, the onboarding experience is pretty silo'd in terms of scripting, although we're thinking about using the same functionality (guided walkthrough) for other parts of the experience, so I may refactor it for reuse else

I agree that on a mobile device you should only have to log in once and be remembered forever (if someone compromises your phone, you have bigger issues), but I think that requiring a password (or OAuth, etc) on a non-mobile experience is a

This seems like a more verbose version of Markdown :\ Maybe the only advantage is displaying code, but everything else is either equal to or more verbose than Markdown. EDIT: I do like the link syntax, though.
