The article is not very accurate. Age and experience don't necessarily correlate to each other. There are a lot of programmers in their mid-twenties with more than 10 years of experience. On the other hand a lot of the 40+ workers did work

This is something I don't fully understand. How does it make merging more easy? I tried mercurial some time ago and it gave me conflicts for very easy merges. While I like it very much as a local version control for myself this merging was

It is the other way round, at least in Germany. During your interview you will always be asked how much you got at your last job. Then there is a magical cap at say 20% above the last salary (depends on how much they want you of course). So
