Sorry, but you really aren't, quite yet. I'm trying to import a very small repo from github (literally 1 branch and 2 files with hardly any revisions and no issues) and it's still sitting there showing "Starting..."

Who says I wasn't? And I know Github wasn't a non-profit. You make quite a number of assumptions with your statement. The difference for me is that I was supporting Github (by paying) to be an independent company, warts and all.

The real question everyone should be asking is whether Microsoft is trustworthy, cognizant, and honorable enough to be the steward of such a major player that facilitates a large portion of open source software. This has me very concerned f

I’m reminded of when npm was beginning to get popular and all the web devs I worked near were acting like it was pure gold and the first of its kind; as if other package managers like maven or apt never existed. These days I just have to la

"Aurora will try to retain enough log information to support that window of time." It's good to know that Aurora will try. It's not like it needs to be reliable or anything.

Of course, it's just what I expected since every other reputable investment business does this. However, my concern is less from that and more from the $30. Will they care?

So if I made a whole $32 off of my experiment on Coinbase (invested $50 when the price was around $273.59/bitcoin and then sold when the price was around $459.69/bitcoin), will the IRS really care about their cut? I honestly expe

I agree, the author complains about something they actually do not understand. I'm sure many people will agree with the author, I'm not sure I do. If Slack changes something or does something that I don't agree with, I will

Which is how it should be. Microsoft should design their OS to not require reboots for updates. The only time I ever have to reboot my Linux box is for a kernel update — that’s it.

Hey Microsoft, also stop rebooting without asking. In fact, just stop automatically doing anything and let me choose to do it myself. Be more like Linux.

I guess my experience is limited, but I’ve not seen much of this despite working in an ORM environment with around 75 entities for the last few years (my recent experience anyway, the rest goes back 16 years). Maybe that is small potatoes,

This really doesn't surprise me. My experience with Riak (admittedly in 2012-2014) was that it did not live up to the hype. As strictly a key-value store, it wasn't bad, but toss in 2i, etc, and it quickly became problematic. Op

Putty is great and has been for a very long time. Always glad to see it still in active development. Though, for Windows, once I found MobaXterm I never looked back. Of course on the Linux side nothing to me beats tmux or terminator.
