   I think the book "Core Java for the Impatient" by Cay S. Horstmann is a really good one on (relatively) new java. The author has a 2 volume, longer book as well if you want more details.

    Do you mean the ad about the Visionary subscription? I'm also a paying customer but I'm OK with these one-time notification kind of ads about the product I'm using. Just don't shove it in my face every time I open it.

    The best part of "I don't care about cookies" and "Cookie AutoDelete" combo is that you don't even have to think about it, because even if it accepts everything, it will be cleaned. 0 mental load required.
