Ditto - this sounds too-good-to-be-true though, as it would negate driving styles in wear.

Granted - but it feels like it is when some are 0.22/k/wh and some are 0.40-0.60/k/wh, and the commercial rate is 0.075/k/wh

So, it's not really MIT then - as it's MIT + something else.

Which then is MIT licensed - so why can't that then be further shared?

I didn't by one for running cost reasons; more safety and speed. However, anecdotally it seems to chew through tires - which isn't mentioned, but is obvious with a quite heavy powerful car - and they're relatively expensive.

My last company (Rainforest QA) used it in quite a few places when ruby wasn't fast enough, though a lot of Go too.

I sponsored a bunch of work on this years back; I wanted it so I didn't have to use Go for cross-platform binaries for a CLI client. I ended up having to use Go, but I hope one day it ships so I can avoid it a little more (I don't

Reason; no idea - but the appeal for me is it's very ruby-like, and super fast (except, compiling). Some programs I've moved from ruby use >10x less memory, and are generally faster. It's mostly as a nice to write as ruby,

I mean, obviously it's my opinion - from experience, fighting a that kinda thing is a race, and a pain

Eventually I suspect someone will abuse this for the free (and encrypted) storage, and then they'll have to fight that battle, which won't be fun, and likely end up charging. Probably should start charging for storage sooner rathe

ditto. I'll try Ansel, but don't have high hopes. I've realized moving 30k+ photos from Lightroom is not likely a thing. I wish I'd not gotten a cloud version.

Isn't this parts of his point; darktable got stuffed with features that a few folks use, and the overall quality suffered.

It's an aggressive delivery, but I think you're asking the right question. From his citations and examples, it seems believable he's correct.

True. I installed a L2 charger for <$1k all in, and basically only charge once, maybe twice a week at $0.115/kwh. Superchargers are generally $0.33-60/kwh.

TBH, I've no idea. One would hope the exception, but who knows. I'm aware it's gonna be different this time around than the first time, for sure. There are obvious pros, and some obvious cons. Either way I'm going for it

Try renting a Tesla next time; the network for charging is great, and I think I've only ever had one failure in years, and just moved stalls.

I think you're mis-informed. Teslas can easily charge at other branded recharging stations; mostly you never see it as there is no point. The Tesla ones are good. There are adaptors to all / most public charging stations for cheap

I'm not sure it's this clear cut. I'm in the partner and kid stage, and whilst I wasn't when I did my last startup - I was mostly single and could do literally what I want, when I want - which is in a lot of ways awesome

Ya I'm on an M1 Max with 64G of ram, and it's still great. I know the M2 and M3 now (for Max) have more memory bandwidth, which is attractive, but otherwise...meh.

Maybe it's changed in the last year or so, but from benchmarking and writing / running queue software for Postgres - SKIP LOCKED was/is significantly faster. Is that different for MySQL?

I maintain QueueClassic ( https://github.com/QueueClassic/queue_classic ) for Rails/Ruby folks; which is basically what you're talking about - a queuing system for Postgres. A bonus reason, and why I originally

Ditto; also happy customer, been paying for a long time now, never looked back money wise, or to google. My experience trying switching with duckduckgo (repeatedly) always failed; checking google, unhappy with ddg results. Kagi, not so.

Nice post. I learnt via https://ziglings.org - koans where you fix minor, and increasingly hard things to learn a languages concepts.
