When I took my MacBook Air in for repair with a UEFI password, they carried out the whole repair and just asked me to type my password when I arrived to collect it and ran a diagnostic on the machine to verify the computer was working. You

Nope, because the whole thing about Optane is that it is super low latency, like RAM, so yes, it’s slower to actually perform read-writes, but way faster than even an SSD disk for random reads making it reasonable suitable as a RAM replacem

Lol, looks like Linus actually inspired them. I mean with the whole DDR industry acting corruptly to keep prices sky high, this seems like a reasonable way to add some competition.

But exactly like the commenter stated. Part of the goal is to fix IPs like this being inaccesible. This DNS is both easy to access and using what should be, a perfectly accessible IP

Yeah, you’re safe if you keep the foot account alive and you set a password for root. At least as far as I can tell...

I actually do think it is in dispute. This is a tweet after all. This guy could totally tweet about it in much the same way after Apple released a patch. The negative publicity would still exist because the bug would be equally stupid and d

You can optionally store your FDE key on Apple's iCloud, but Apple makes it extremely clear what it is doing and offers to let you do so or not do so.

That isn't really viable yet. Browser vendors could decide that they will introduce this functionality in a few years though. IMHO, the feature would need to be implemented as some have suggested, by enabling any website to transmit se

This is utter bullshit. I can't write equations for my life in Word (mainly because I hate that utter piece of shit) but I can type equations and other content in LaTeX faster than I can write it by hand - admittedly I use LyX which ha
