It would be interesting to have seen how many people used their own personal domain with Google Apps. It's the best of both worlds.

Panning following the contrails is beautiful. Very creative.

Yes, it's not unlikely at all. It's a timebomb just waiting to explode.

In the UK it's normally a few local individuals bonding ADSL lines together at point x where the service is an acceptable speed. A few microwave links later and it's ready to be consumed by 10-100 people. It's not real competition, it's not

The re-painted feature is a very nice idea. It will really be useful when you it's available in a number of browsers, so that you can compare the results. I'd rather have a cross browser developer console. It would be easier to have the inf

GitHub really become the standard for open source projects in such a short space of time, even the big name projects felt compelled to switch. Congrats GitHub.

The government targets for rural areas is a joke, and damaging to the economy. Not helped by 4G rollout 'issues'. We have a microwave link on the church tower to cover the village here. It really shouldn't be left up to the locals to manage

"Does your idea solve a problem that people actually have?" It's too easy to believe people have problem X when you toying with a new idea. I would much rather ask.. "Does your idea solve a problem that YOU actually have?"

We have a 25 mile stretch of SPECS cameras near here. Fixed infrared cameras, with automatic number plate recognition, that calculates your average speed between 2 points. They do seem to work and it's a pretty fair system. It's really mask

Yes. It would be interesting to read about their experiences as I presume most large SSD deployments would be for databases only.

No, but I have full faith in SSDs for laptops and desktops now. I've never found the need for them a server. Does anyone know of any large scale operations using them in servers?

Looks like they provide a real time commenting system for sites. With any success that is going to be one heavily hit API.

Didn't see the original post. Nice work, don't let it get bloated.

I dread to think how many complete rewrites have never seen the light of day. Get your data source in order, then refactor in small achievable projects from there. Better for motivation and better for end users.

You get a very clean starting point, allowing you to note the exact software a server is dependant on. It's more secure to only have the bare minimum software installed.

I'm probably guilty of doing the opposite, using a database when a spreadsheet might have been more appropriate.

Tenniel illustrations are in the public domain. The original work is about 150 years old. As you say, very a clear-cut copyright issue with Disney lifting the design. I'll be interested to hear the outcome of this.

Definitely the browsers fault here for the unexpected behaviour and one that could easily trip up those that are not aware of this sort issue (probably those copying and pasting from random sites).
