Oh my god, when Jeff ignored William to get some champagne and start spraying it was so rude and obnoxious, not to mention the clingers on just wanting Jeff's attention and some camera time. I feel sorry for Shatner that he didn't

I'm glad I am not the only one who finds his writing challenging. I had to give up on Blindsight after only a few pages as I had no idea what was going on.

I use /e/os. It is based on LineageOS, is completely de-googled and has MicroG integrated. MicroG means push notifications with apps like WhatsApp will work. https://e.foundation/

Eh? I'm in favor of YouTube banning anti vaxxers. So I'm definitely not libertarian, where as you seem to be in favor of anyone at all being able to post on YouTube without censorship - doesn't that make you more the libertar

What do you think I am trying to say? It's not hard. If you don't like what youtube are doing then don't use youtube. They are beholden to their shareholders, not you.

youtube is a private company, they can ban you for whatever reason they want, presumably. Youtube, google, facebook, they aren't public services.

If the guy in this story had a google free phone he presumably wouldn't have been caught in the net. I don't think cell tower location tracking is accurate enough that the cops would have used it in this case. For privacy, don

Just don't use Google?! Seriously, it's not that hard to remove google from your personal life. If your job makes you use google, just view your email using the web app or use an email client on phone.

I never thought Brussels Sprouts tasted bad in the past -- always delicious! Also, JFC, at least make your own Guac -- it's like the easiest thing to actually make yourself. I can't think of anything easier.

so you can't login to a bank website in the EU without having their app on your phone? WTF. Really? When did that happen? I know UK isn't in the EU anymore, but NatWest (UK bank) doesn't need me to have an app -- I can get an

I'm amazed that banking apps are the make or break example for so many people when choosing a non-apple/non-google mobile OS. How much banking is everyone doing on-the-go?! Just use the website! Use the mobile website if you must!

I hardly use any apps that are not foss, really I just need slack and whatsapp, and they work well (push notifications etc) so microG works well for me (I don't think these 2 apps would work fully without microG but never tested that).

In civilized countries where guns aren't ubiquitous most police call outs won't be for something that can kill them. It's bizarre to me that it's just normal in America to expect someone to have a gun. Also, let's n

I think it needs some way for users to rate the recipes, otherwise I have no way of knowing which recipes are worth trying out. Trouble is you then are in the realm of having registered users, and life becomes no fun anymore.
