Shrug The Galaxy Tab 10.1 doesn’t resemble an iPad to me. You know, at some level of abstraction you can show that any two designs are the same, but I think the level of abstraction you have chosen goes too far.

This lawsuit, however, seems to be only about the general shape. It doesn’t make much sense to say that the result of a lawsuit about the shape is justified because of the software or other factors unrelated to the shape. As for obviousness

I will have to disagree with your assessment of Excel. It’s a great tool, especially for those who live in it, and it covers a large area of the triangle but the start is very rocky. Using it for simple lists of numbers – maybe even with a

Don’t take this the wrong way, but there aren’t that many people who will engage in an argument with someone who advocates murdering humans and wants to be taken seriously.

Did you read the article? It’s not a review. Let me quote the first two sentences verbatim since you seem to have completely skipped them: “I don’t review games. But I do study games, and to that end, I have an interest in dissecting them

Sure, the photo tells you that both would look very similar to your eye. It’s certainly not an worthless exercise to compare with photos, I think everyone knows what incandescent light bulbs look like.

You can capture the relative difference and if you keep the same white balance setting (or, more likely, apply the same setting to the raw photograph in post) it’s even possible to compare different photos. What those photos likely can’t te

Then don’t switch. It doesn’t seem like the right choice for you. And that’s that. I never again want to use Windows but I won’t be caught dead recommending OS X to anyone. It’s just stressful. (I’m suddenly personally responsible for any a

Not too many at any rate. If a minor detail like the key to delete files is an option pretty much everything else has to be an option. Options should only be there as a last resort, not in any other case.

The article never - never – claims that Minecaft was engineered that way. Whether or not some features of Minecraft that make it work were intentionally designed a certain way is something this article doesn’t even attempt to discuss. The

As you can see there are a lot of big screens and very few actual buttons and switches in that photo. It looks like the four keyboards are the bulk of the buttons. I would be curious to know how modal those screens are and how much informat

Usability considerations play a large role when designing complex interfaces. Complexity pretty much has to be reduced and errors have to be displayed in a way that makes it possible to actually deal with them, especially in emergencies. Ev

Figuring out who would be able to deal with 150 kilometers (or so) of range would actually be a very interesting social science study. I really do suspect that the numbers would be quite high, at least in many European cities. High density

In the grand scheme of things Git is unimportant. It’s niche technology. Version control is always going to be that and that’s alright†. (This is not a dig at Git. Git is pretty much all it can be and wildly successful at that.) — † Apple i

This new information is quite helpful for me. It reaffirms my assessment that this is all about PR and I shouldn’t believe anyone. Microsoft’s motives aren’t pure, Google’s motives aren’t pure but that’s kinda obvious, isn’t it? (By the way
