Its a stretch to say natural selection put decay in the brain for a good reason. Not every trait was the result of positive or negative selection. Traits can occur as side effects of another trait (of another trait etc etc) that was positiv

It is theorized that for a tiny fraction of time before the big bang the laws of physics were not the same as they are now, and if they had been such an expansion would not have taken place. This is the distinction they are likely trying to

As its now been pointed out more than once, 'not at all' is not true. I did not claim it could use everything available on CPAN, but was pointing out that you were making a false statement based on, well, i'm not sure what yo

It sounds like actively trying to do anything seems to have helped you, regardless of what it is. Perhaps making an effort to do something (anything) is what is helping you, and not the acts themselves.

There is really little downside. Anecdotally i've heard people say marijuana will get you addicted to harder drugs, will turn you into a melted couch blob, etc.

Why would you suspect that? Just because criminals more often commit crimes that do not allow for easy A/B testing (or dont offer a worthwhile return on it) does not mean smart criminals wouldn't do such testing. If you want to ge

High fat/moderate protein/low carb (so not exactly the 50/45/5 ratio of the post you replied to) can affect insulin resistance. Are you implying that insulin resistance has no affect on weight gain/loss?

I know plenty of people in the developed world that drink bottled water. Its not that hard to taste the difference between 2 sources of water (filtered vs spring), and not everyone wants to drink fluoridated tap or rusty well water.

Lots of people will feel like they perform all sorts of things better while intoxicated under various substances when in reality they are performing suboptimal. You need an outside party to verify these types of claims.
