Prediction: it's not gonna be worthless for games. This is what's gonna make cloud gaming really take off. True, you can't use these as desktop GPUs, but they can be installed in data centers for purposes of video game stream

Yesssss dude! Claude Opus 4.7 is literally the smartest entity I've ever interacted with. Well done to you geniuses at Anthropic. Can't wait to interact with 4.8.

I use DDG but the problem I have with it is that, well, the results just kind of suck. I have slowly used the "!g" operator more and more over the years to the point that now probably 95% of my DDG searches are just Google searche

The thing I don't get though, is that most people just don't have that much work they need to do. I can use AI to pretty easily get my work done just via the regular chat interfaces. But because of the tokenmaxxing metrics that le

Does anyone else feel like Google is just always a dollar short and a day late here? Maybe not a dollar short, but it's like they've consistently been focused on the wrong thing. First they missed chatbots, now they're missin

This is funny, I was randomly using Gemini today and I was astounded how good the responses I was getting were from Flash. I guess this must be the reason why.

I feel like the main issue here is that it does seem like in the current trajectory the job loss outcome is going to happen before any of these potential really good outcomes. I'm down for a utopian future, but I don't have to wan

I don't know about this one. For me, at least, the reward of "self progression" is intimately tied to external systems. I would not care about getting better at programming if there wasn't a social and financial reward a

In my view, UBI basically puts me, an upstanding citizen with hard skills that AI made obsolete, on the same playing field as the average junkie off the street in SF. Why on earth would I want that? People are different, the modern economy

I feel the backlash really comes down to the fact that AI is a fucking pain in the ass when it comes to planning your life. Nobody asked for it, nobody wanted it, but regardless we're all now thrust into a technological revolution wher

This happened to me and I can promise you that I did nothing wrong. It is very frustrating to essentially be locked out of the app-based dating market without even knowing why.

This is pretty cool. How would you say that these open models compare to SOTA on coding tasks? I pay $200/mo for Claude Max but honestly this sounds way more fun.

I don't get why you would have an LLM interpret things for you. Like honestly, you replace the software in this example with simple transcription software, the issues disappear.

Isn't this a good thing though? Europe becomes more self-reliant and less dependent on US technology, the US is able to refocus to the Pacific which is a more strategically relevant area, the anti-US people in Europe become happy, and

I don't think we were ever a "high trust" society in the way that like Denmark is or something. But I'd find it hard to argue with the assertion that rather, the US has become increasingly more of a low trust society rec

I don't think the strategy of trying to figure out what an "AI laptop" should be will work. The best bet is to see what use cases organically emerge from the current tech, figure out the biggest gaps, and design a product aro

Yes, Nintendo is essentially the futuristic version of Disney. And families will continue to pay a premium in exchange for a curated experience that you know will be OK for your child.

The reason I think AI is essentially guaranteed to be a bubble is that all the optimistic profit projections and such are predicated on the easy, continuous integration of AI tools into society. There's not a chance in hell this happen
