It should be recognised that meeting the needs of consumers and meeting high standards for the workers is a difficult thing to get right. Meeting the needs of consumers when it comes at the expense of worker rights I would argue is a bad

Co-ops would be a great idea, if it weren't for the fact that they have to balance automation with caring for the workers, which is highly inefficient for making profit, which is necessary to survive in a capitalist ecosystem. Paying w

Thank you for the insight. I was being semi facetious with my comment; owning the MoP isn't the only required change for a Socialist society; I had similar thoughts to yours with regard to segregation of the more and less productive. T

The reason for this is exeedingly simple. Marx theorised that instead of seeing the people behind transactions, rather we focus solely on the trade itself, the commodities involved. This is a simplification of the theory of commodity fetish

Out of interest, what are some of these? I have a hard time believing that the implementors of the Perl regex engine chose to write it that way for no reason while the Thompson NFA figures are thrown about. I knew there must havevbeen somet

And really don't forget that KDE actually has a file picker that lets you browse by thumbnail, something that has been missing in Gnome since a bug about it was filed in 2005, and it's still not there (yet).

Of course it would be more effective, but it's hard to coordinate individual ambitions and goals within one project, so much so that it will cause splits or over-engineering of features just to please developers. I don't know if G

I have never used Swift, but I can confirm that writing a Lisp is a lot of fun in something like C or Go. I especially like the fact that you can build in so much raw power by implementing Lisp macros for example.
