The problem is that the same note can be played in multiple string/fret combinations so all it tells me is that the note was played, not "note was played via this string/fret combination"

yeah, this might be the brainier people bias of Hacker News but there's been a lot of requests for alternate tunings. I might just give in and build it one of these days :). Name a Chord with multiple choice is a great idea. Adding it

Try the practice area, it has no timer and you can select strings and notes to focus on. And stay tuned and sign up for updates if you can, I'll build a kinder, gentler learning module to go with the game

I ran into a lot of problems with vertical mode. Turns out just doing a CSS transform is not enough. It creates a lot of layout problems. And on the other end, doing it vertical from the ground up would be a ton of work from scratch because
