A fellow sell-out. Welcome. Those are in abundance, having no honor and ethics

I am tired of seeing people creating problems out of nowhere. The reasons author gave are stupid and I am gonna question his "7+ years" of tmux usage

Oh yes, using a new terminal emulator instead of one which has been around for decades. What could go wrong? It's creator has been vocal that it's nothing more than a side project

Studies of what? Bunch of teenagers that are already hooked on short-form content, whose attention span is non-existent?

I am not stupid enough to cry over some random meaningless post. You are creating solutions for the problems that don't exist

Big fan of nanovms! I should have linked that instead, sorry

OP is right. Short-form content for everything is dangerous and should be avoided. It serves no purpose

From my limited understanding, it has the same isolation advantages as that of a VM and therefore it's as strong as the hypervisor you use

I can't believe how it reached the top. Either bots or intentional upvotes from competitors. Wire sucks anyway. Matrix ftw!

What does this even mean? Matrix can be hosted by anyone and anywhere with full control, unlike wire which is a centralized chat app owned by AWS

It doesn't look fully independent from ZT. It's maintained by you guys. Headscale is fully independent and has much clear, easy to follow docs

As much as hyped tailscale is, at least there is an option to fully self-host coordination server. Do you have something like that?

It's the only way people learn. Real world is not going to hold your hand, real world is full of facebooks, not signals

I am being downvoted for being real. How is the general populous not aware of it? That's wild. Again, you have to be aware of this. It's like privacy 101

Are you being serious right now? No one forced those people to upload their data to this sketchy site. Everyone with one brain cell would know the repercussions of uploading IDs to a no-name site

Agreed. I have shifted a lot of my services to VPSes just because it's easier to deal with. However, it comes with less freedom and control

What? That's the most ridiculous argument I have seen to justify not have a homeserver. Even in the smallest places, it should not be that hard to fit a few low-powered and high perf min PCs and few SBCs. It's all about how badly

Good luck being owned. If you don't take the action to safe guard your personal data, no one will. Stop living in a fantasy

Moxie is wrong, he likes to project his own ideas as wisdom and always factually correct. P2P networks have flourished. Bittorrent, bitcoin, Tor just to name a few successful ones

PBS for proxmox and restic for anything outside is the best combo. Super easy to configure and manage

No, you are making things up. That cannot happen unless the homeservers are not configured properly. If you don't have anything to back that story up, I suggest you slow down on making matrix look bad

It's gaining traction. Matrix will prevail, sooner or later. Don't give up on it just yet

Worst in terms of user freedom as well. Because according to moxie, everyone is incompetent to host their own. He was wrong

The last statement is totally uncalled for. Yes, matrix is not convenient and given it's far from ideal chat experience but that doesn't mean you are allowed to spread FUD. Matrix spec, clients, homeservers, etc are fully open sou
