Bitcoin value didn't sink. The exchange rate on MtGox took a dip from $930 to $760 between yesterday and now but on other exchanges like Bitstamp it may have gone from $790 to $750. The rate on MtGox was higher than on other exchanges

The Macbook Air runs on a CPU with a nominal TDP of 15W vs 28W for the Macbook Pro Retina. I'm pretty sure a Retina display could run with the current Macbook air CPU given that they share the same integrated GPU. That will make a diff

Looks like the system can be gamed by an artist than listens to his 4 min track 24/7. If it pays about $0.007 per stream, listening to a 4 min song would pay out $75 - $10 of the subscription fee = $65/month/subscription. Tha

There is no motive to the use of Polonium 210. It was used on Alexander Litvinenko because the Russians wanted to show that they were able and willing to take the life of former agents that attacked their interests. What motivates the use o

It's definitely a great incentive for users to update their hardware. If you could still use iOS3 on your iPhone 3GS, it would be reasonably fast and responsive but because the upgrade to iOS6 is free, you go for it only to discover th

I kept the title unchanged but it's very bad math. What they actually mean is that for each dollar spent in ads, you get 90 cents back on Android vs 2.62 dollars on iPhone. That's still significant though.

I wouldn't blame Google (or any multinational corporation) as much as I blame our legislators who failed to prohibit this kind of tax evasion schemes.

They don't have a subscription model on the iPhone and the first year is free on the other devices. Then you puncture the 30% the app store gets and you're left with a mid-low 8-digits revenue.

It looked obvious back then that touch screens would disrupt man-machine interaction. I can't help myself but see similarities between what Apple did in 2007 with the iPhone and in the early 80s with the Xerox PARC/Mac.

As we search more on mobile devices, the way we interact with a search engine changed. Just look at Siri. It may not be a ground breaking technology now but we're slowing moving to making more and more voice controlled search requests.
