| What does it take to get American's outraged about something? Americans can get outraged just fine. The problem is that many people just don't understand exactly what's going on. They're either not very technical, an

Well, I stand corrected. That would, indeed, be a killer feature, if it works well. I suspect it won't, unfortunately.

It feels like a sea change over the last year or so. Reddit used to feel pretty progressive, but now, even in the tamest subreddits, it feels like casual racism flourishes. Guess that's how it goes with social networks; they always sta

I thought that was a feature for 'Ubuntu for Android' (a different product). I could be wrong, but I don't see that feature available under the 'Ubuntu Phone' list of features.

I'm bored by Ubuntu, much less the promise of a Ubuntu smartphone. I thought the appeal of Ubuntu was that it was a freedom-respecting but user-friendly alternative to Windows and Mac. Turn out, their Unity interface ships your desktop

I'm a big advocate for the Linux desktop, but at this point, as long as Canonical has Ubuntu ship off desktop search results to Amazon by default, I would even advocate for users to use other operating systems, even Mac OS X. It'

Well, you have a point with his vote reauthorizing the Patriot Act, but I still think it's tone deaf to ignore the campaign rhetoric that Obama made during the 2008 election.

Really, because there's a lot of video going around of 2007 Obama debating 2013 Obama on domestic spying. 44% of the country cares. Dare not dismiss the a minority opinion just because it's just under the threshold of the majori

I'm a big fan of GNOME 3, and strongly prefer it over other desktops. The GNOME guys/gals have been doing a great job, and all the hate it gets is old and tired. If you don't like it, that's fine. There are many other gr

That's subjective. I'm a big fan of the user-experience GNOME 3 provides, and I strongly prefer over KDE, OS X, Windows 8, etc... There are many others that agree with that sentiment. You may not like it, and that's fine. The

I do agree with that statement, but it doesn't mean they can do a whole lot of damage. From Iraq to Aaron Schwartz, when the US government turns it's big sloppy attention at you, watch out.
