Maybe you should create a website that other people can use to track their applications?

I agree with you - I didn't add much to the quality of discourse. I just feel like I need to walk on pins and needles here (YC) when I want to voice my opinion about Steve Jobs and Apple. It's almost like I'm drawing a picture of Muhammad.

You know what I kind of like about this post? - before such a post on YC would have been bashed by Apple fan boys... but now after Apple's policy pigeon holed and alienated developers - I'm starting to see a real conversation about some of

I'm sure this will be sort of frowned upon but what about selling stuff on eBay? I know people who buy stuff at yard sales or suchlike and resell it on eBay...

I have to wonder what people would have thought about this during biblical times.

The site also lets you connect/link your own ads to display with the short links you create. For instance say I ran a retail business... I could "target' my own links to display my own ads. So when a user clicks on an one of my unbig.me l

If anyone is at all interested: Almost all the traffic from HN skips the ads via the "Click to close and continue" link at the top right - while the majority of Twitter users let the ad run for a full 12 seconds.

You're not the first person to tell me that. If the concept isn't successful I'll change direction to a weight-loss app :)

Yeah it's by no means perfect but I am working on it. And I need more advertisers to match more effectively :)

I think your vision is a little short sighted. I think business could use this on their own social media sites and alike.

I honestly haven't considered sites banning unbig.me. I'll have to think about possible solutions. Maybe working with the sites - i.e. providing a share of the revenue or suchlike?

Thanks for the input. I've thought of both of them. #1 is would be problem. #2 each link made by our registered users is unique and assigned to the user that made it - even if its the same link someone already used... and I think retweeti

I've often thought of trying Adwords for TV. Several years ago I used to make animated commercials for cable TV and one of the major hassles was getting airtime on cable stations. Has anyone tried it?

Simply Amazing! Not that I don't like the iPhone but wouldn't it be cool to have a controllers that can do this for all kinds of vehicles and suchlike? I guess AR might be a boon to the remote control industry.
