I have an OLED TV and after thousands of hours of use, sometimes hundreds on a single game, there is no burn-in. However, I do not set the TV to full brightness. Edit: I suspect an OLED digital sign WOULD burn in though as I imagine that co

I feel like adults supervising minors are responsible for their safety. Even now it’s not a minor who is fined if they aren’t wearing a seatbelt, it’s the driver. I find the point about financial burden to society more interesting because i

Who is charged with these crimes right now? You point to CDC data of overdoses but is there matching data about people being charged with crimes here? If not I don’t understand how the proposed amendment could make this situation any worse

I feel like potential to put others at risk would void protection under the amendment. I don’t think it would have to be 100% perfect, just better than we are doing now while avoiding false positives. Anyways, I feel like we have courts to

Idk, maybe I’m not understanding something but I feel like both of those examples are crimes with victims. I’d err on the side of avoiding false positives and say that only actions impacting yourself receive the protections of an amendment.

I've previously changed my phone to black and white mode to make it more boring. That helped me prevent some amount of usage.

Indeed. I've also had to bolt cut my way into a storage unit I forgot the combination to. Bolt cutters could be rented from the local Home Depot and cut my way into my own storage unit with no knowledge from the staff. It was my lock s

These look amazing! For anyone not aware: lock picking is already easy on most locks. I was locked out of a keyed door in my last apartment once and was able to pick my way back in with no experience, a friend's lock picking kit, and a

I find the cars compelling whether they are Full Self-Driving or not. However, it is annoying that Musk touts non-existent features when the existing feature set is already compelling.

I used to believe this but I’m not so sure it’s true. Gambling is addictive and I think that things which are addictive can overcome reason. I know a lot of smart developers who buy loot boxes in games, for example.

Most of my experience is in C++ and C#. I adore C#... but I agree: it’s as though developers have difficulty getting to the task at hand when using it. Maybe it’s because attempting even simple abstractions in C++ can foot-gun yourself in s

I don’t know if I understand your point about generics syntax and a scrappy underdog. Are you trying to imply that a group of experts is better than the group of experts and laypeople at judging things? If so, I’m not sure that’s true.
