Choppy for me with a Nvidia GTS 450 (proprietary drivers) on Fedora 23. Every part of the massively long pipeline from HTML to DVI has to be perfect to get smooth playback. It seems we are some way away from reaching that yet.

I can relate to this despite being a native English speaker from the UK. I misspent my childhood in IRC and messing around with dozens of UNIX machines. I can communicate well with people over the internet, but only recently have I met peop

This is not very useful, it is a security policy change. The previous post mentioned homomorphic encryption. This is a method of performing computation on the cipher text. If this were implemented, then you could potentially create VM'

I remember getting really meta with this. I think golly came with a script that took a pattern as an input and outputed the pattern encoded as metapixels. I of course fed it the definition of the metapixel. The result is a metapixel impleme

Not really, at least Linux has formal-ish model of how processes are supposed to interact. The Windows security model starts badly plus about 10 000 special cases that aren't documented where you will trip various heuristics only there

Detect the malware in the binary served by the webserver when running on the infected machine, not on the webserver. i.e. always serve the `compromised` binary for that URL.

I guess substituting the existing file served at that URL with a curl that when called by the particular malware in question (I guess you could detect this fairly easily) warns the user graphically of the infection would be considered going

But when the day comes that SDR's which can transmit from 0-10GHz are in every device you buy, all the FCC will be able to do is rubber stamp these devices as 0-10GHz SDR's, which are actually very capable of severe interference:

What and have the dependencies for each package in the package directory node_modules style? No thanks, at least not unless it is on a file system that deals with duplicate subtrees within the filesystem.

One problem might be that they are not inline like links are on the web. One solution to this would be encoding links inside the printed text somehow, but that would require far very accurate cameras and high quality printers.

Even worse with vim is there are operations like delete which push to the register stack without you intending it, it makes it really difficult to keep track of where your stuff is without looking.
