He grew up in a trailer park. Then he went to university and became a scientist. He not just some guy in a trailer. This headline is terribly insulting.

He doesn’t want to do those things. He wants people to give him billions of dollars on the promise to do those things. Musk survives on putting in a minimal ammount of effort and having a great marketing team. The guy is a fraud.

That's not what I'm talking about. Your DNA can end up under the fingernails of a murder victim with no connection to you. Your name cannot. There was a Wired article about this the other day: https://www.wired.com/

There are other downsides, too. I have a cousin who found out, in his 50s, after his mother and father had passed away, that he was not related to anybody in our family. It crushed him.

The difference is your name isn't plastered on every object you come in contact with. Your name isn't transferred to other people who come in contact with the same objects as you. Your name doesn't end up in other locations t

Not it isn’t. “Undisclosed” is an adjective. The title says that the SEC penalized Yahoo for a “cyber theft” that was “massive” and “undisclosed.” “SEC Penalizes Yahoo $35M for Non-Disclosure of Massive Cyber Theft” would be better.

You’re right. Housing isn’t a consumer good. But CPI does fail to measure inflation in consumer goods. I agree with op that there has been inflation for years.

There’s consumer demand for veal. It’s delicious. Companies just don’t want the headaches caused by the finger-waggers. So many male calves are shot and discarded instead of becoming food. It’s insane.

One of the reasons why I left Facebook was because I was tired of invites. I got tired of getting harassing messages from people upset I hadn't yet logged in to Facebook to RSVP yes/no/maybe to events I had zero interest in.

I think it’s clear what he meant and you’re being purposefully obtuse. If I said I was going to put a problem “on the internet” you would know I didn’t mean the netowrking infrastructure was going to produce a solution.

Scooter startups, why not pay homeless people to relocate scooters to safe areas after people leave them? You would be doing a good thing and cities would be happy to deal with your scooters if you deal with their homeless problem.
