I also found it way out of character and not aligned with his narrative when he said how much BTC he has.

There are financial mechanics that exist only in the scope of DeFi and not in traditional finance. It actually IS new in a lot of ways and skilled folks are teaming up to make a killing, not just experienced traders. Take a look at what

What? So many of my peers are moving to crypto companies in droves or moonlighting as devs on crypto projects. The money is really good too.

I remember when my buddy picked up a lineman's headset almost 2 decades ago and we ran around connecting it to random lines. Good times. NYC is one of the best places to grow up as a hacker kid.

Is rent really higher than a mortgage though or does that fail to take into consideration things like taxes, HOA, etc.? If rent were higher than a mortgage, wouldn't that suggest that most of the tech folks CAN in fact afford property

It's not a dodge, it's a genuine question. The same tech bro's crying that they can't afford to own a house in SF can comfortably afford the rent, so what's the big deal?

Why is everyone so obsessed with buying a house. Why is that the measure of quality of life to strive towards?

I guess the question is if you're a glass full or glass empty kind of guy. I interpret a lot of this through a lens of optimism. Generally my read is that he wants to it to be more than bro's flaunting ape pics and wealth, and bet

Interesting, I'll check it out thanks. I do think the Phoenix Project is too verbose for the story they have to tell, but the "aha" moment is really just the parallel that engineering can be treated like assembly line manufac

It's generally perceived to be autonomous and without central leadership, and I think at this point it largely is. Any PR efforts could just be independent efforts and whoever wants to follow along does. Originally though I think it w

The straw that broke the camel's back for me was when we fired all of the unvaccinated nurses amid the Omicron spike, and then CDC lowered the quarantine to 5 days and hospitals made sick workers come to work. So yes, let's fire f

I'm glad the mandates are being lifted. They no longer serve purpose. Maybe they did for a brief moment, but now there's little benefit to the greater good by imposing vaccines that don't do much to curb the spread.

I find this an incredibly odd thing to be so pedantic about. If your mission is truly free and open software, then it's kind of at odds that you would be such a stickler about what people are calling it.
