These days most of my writing is in the form of research blog posts for my job, which I enjoy. I used to write a lot of fiction in my teens and early 20s, but somehow lost the discipline to sit down and do so after I discovered visual art.

"Everyone one wants to have written, but no one wants to sit down and do the work to write." Is how I heard it.

As much as godaddy sucks for just about anything, I would suggest not searching for domains unless you are prepared to buy it on the spot.

If you strongly believe this, then you should probably put your money where your mouth is, like this guy: http://www.williammacaskill.com/ It's noble, but I guess it's up to you to chose your standard of living. E

The author seems to suggest that most folks have some kind of ethical/moral dilemma around how to best look out for their personal well being by spending their money to make themselves as comfortable as possible. Pretty sure normal peo

I think validation is more about whether or not someone will pay for your solution than if it actually solves the problem or not. Sounds like the same thing, but it's not really.

Are you saying you got dehydrated and had to go to the ER as a result of this breathing exercise?

So how do you recommend a layman improve their breathing without fucking themselves up? Is it so complicated that we can't do it on our own without professional help?

>I own it and I can do whatever the hell I please with it. Not really... IP law still applies. You can't photocopy the book and sell it or give it out without consequence.

I mean twitter has plenty of paying customers too? You don't just advertise on there for free.

I think it comes down to your "persona". For example George Hotz does multi-hour long coding streams that are all over the place, but they have some entertainment value because he's a bit of a kooky character.

Yes of course they should, but if core development is isolated to one or two companies, then they're not incentivized to produce these open specs so that they can maintain control, because they are also building businesses around these

Not sure if it's still the case but if I recall correctly, the majority of the bitcoin maintainers are employed by one company... so not sure there's an incentive for them.

I'm curious how this usually plays out. Do employees of acquired companies need to go through the google interview process?

My grandfather (russian) talks about getting his tonsils removed when he was a kid in the army. He said the doctor was digging around his throat with a hot spoon and periodically telling him to spit.

Check out Eric Rosen on youtube, he has great videos where he plays blitz chess and talks through his thought process. It's very helpful.

A while back I bought a baofeng handheld on amazon - it's not ideal as a scanner, but good enough. I've been finding plenty of crazy shit during these protests.

Same here. 90% of reports are from folks that didn't bother to read the terms and sending in useless reports. As a researcher, I'd spend days chasing something down just to get $50 for my finding months later.

Coding is a broad spectrum. I think of the bootcamp crowd as the blue collar version of coders. They're learning a trade to make a living. I doubt many of them end up in roles with much technical complexity the first few years.

That's a huge range though. 25% difference. Better to just have a junior listing at 80k and a senior listing at 100k and that simplifies it.
