Yes. You can jump through a bunch of hoops to get a similar desktop / phone integration with Linux (or Windows) and Android using a variety of different apps...or you could just use it out-of-the-box since it's all baked in to mac

I picked up a M1 Mac Mini. I honestly cannot tell the difference between a native and a non-native app on this thing. The Rosetta 2 emulation is mind blowing.

My M1 Mac Mini destroys my 2019 16” Macbook Pro (i7). both machines have a 16 GB memory load out and 500 GB of SSD. I haven’t seen any of the performance issues you’re talking about. I do Python and Angular development.

If you’re interested in ‘what you see is what you get’, CD is MUCH closer to the reality of what was heard in the studio than vinyl is. Vinyl is capped on the high end to prevent distortion, and cut on the low end to prevent volume drops. T
