this is why we have botnets running on security cameras. you can't just demand the user be smarter, you put sane defaults on there so they actually have to go to at least a small amount of effort to shoot themselves in the foot.

you're absolutely right, i've seen beautiful, useful interfaces impossible to maintain due to lack of backend skill, i've seen great core functionality let down by bare-boned interfaces that don't let the user easily do
