This happened to my brother and girlfriend at the same time. Both iPhone users. We thought it was someone fucking with us, so I got the CNAM of the phone number and creeped the guy out by telling him his name (lol) and then we both came to

Exactly. I know some pretty tough guys. One of which took a gunshot wound and barely needed any recovery time. This same guy got in a car accident that ruined his back. After some surgery, he tried to not use opioid pain killers, but he des

Flashing a third party ROM is probably your best bet. I'm curious to what phones you're considering to replace your OP3 with, though. For myself, I've been looking for something that has "much better than average" s

I'm on the spectrum and I walk like this. It's always been a weird texture thing for me. I also walked on my toes a lot as a child. Pretty weird coming on here and seeing how I walk (and got made fun of for it.)

I've been out of the loop on Golang security for a bit, but last I recalled there might have been some timing vulnerabilities in the crypto library. Is this not the case anymore?

I would think that if you're more than a "casual listener" of music, then you stream entire albums. I'm pretty involved in my local music scene and I don't know many, if any, who selectively stream songs.

I've always wanted a service that lets me have something like an RSS/JSON feed of new artists, albums, etc added to a streaming service during a timeframe (day, week, etc). Does anyone know if Google, Apple, or Spotify provide any

Exactly! Of course they can phrase it differently if needed. Just because the officer tells them that they can tell the judge what they say doesn't at all imply that it could cause the child to get in more trouble.

Yes, but the police have to get warrants. If they fail to get a warrant, then it's inadmissable in court. In the phone case, they don't need a warrant if your authentication method is literally your face.

Why can't you just store the chat data locally and search it there? Chat data is already small enough, it just needs to be stored in a searchable format. You don't need to store all of it either, just store the past month or so (o

Self promotion warning: I work at NuCypher (YC S16), and we're doing some pretty interesting stuff on the Ethereum block chain to build a decentralized KMS using proxy re-encryption.

There's nothing error prone about choosing to do Encrypt-then-MAC, but there could be some issues with how they implemented AES-CTR. Plain and simple, there is just more room to make a grave mistake.
