It's such a common problem with graphical interfaces in general. If only we gave our users the same affordance we give developers with versioned API's. We shouldn't be breaking interfaces haphazardly, and that includes the

True, but if you're alone, you could pay less to share a ride with others being picked up and dropped off along the way to your destination.

That sounds like something that should be handled by law enforcement, not your bank.

In fairness, the letter's author seems more concerned about how the complaint was handled in public regardless of what it was about.

Where could I read more about this analysis? Genuinely interested to understand how x86_64 is such an albatross and more details about what could be accomplished in its absence.

To be fair, there is "git branch <somebranch>" to create a new branch. Then you'll have to checkout that branch if you want to use it. Your third git example above just combines those two operations into a single comm

It's a shame you can no longer upload music to the InfiniteJukebox. Apparently it relied on a Spotify API that was shut down October 1st. Best hope going forward is an open source library that can offer the same track analysis that u

As a potential counterargument, if you fear Red Light Cameras but don't know where they are, you'll drive more safely at all intersections, not just the ones where they're actually installed.

This is very cool. Over $500 USD for this Blender plugin and the 38 Twigs they currently have on offer is chicken feed for any professional use. But it sure is a lot for casual use and playing around. Blender 2.8 comes with a Tree generati

Don't think that has the desired effect; at least if I understood the request properly. The text area won't get a scrollbar when more text is added to fill the view area. It seems in this case you would have to manually ensure th

Don't think there is a way to tell the difference without stepping outside the universe to look back on the system relative to another frame. But AFAIU, there is no edge to the universe with an unknown something beyond the barrier. Sp

I remember phone numbers and long digits of numbers by their position on a number pad. Don't know why this is easier for me, but remembering the pattern my finger would trace tapping in a sequence of digits just pops in my memory with

No more than people who are saying the opposite is true. We should use objective measures. There are tangible real world ramifications for the effects of robbery. People who get offended at nudity suffer some mild discomfort at best. We s
