I think you shouldn't include proper nouns (like there's one in the Apr 6 solution).

I was interested in this so I had a look at the tools. Now that I asked ChatGPT, it didn't include this reason - perhaps it's too obvious and no-one has written it down before.

Here's his clarification that followed, saying they didn't fund the product InstallMonetizer: > They're working on something new, and all the office hours I had with them were about that. They're not even in our data

It seems there are multiple reasons. For one, the apk files include a digital signature and you won't have Signal's and Google's private keys available to recreate their signatures.

I don't understand how the details of the build process matter if the resulting files can be checked to be bit by bit identical? I can only think of something like Signal and Google conspiring to backdoor the binaries during the build

Also only possible because we use Signal as compiled by themselves and not by trusted third parties from a source kept clean of any future client-side backdoors. The client is open source, right? https://github.com/signalapp

Did YC fund (or otherwise back) InstallMonetizer? The way I understood it, they applied to YC with a different idea and worked on IM earlier/on the side/later. (In which case, the controversy was more whether YC works with people

Do you want to risk the complexity and potential performance impact from the handshake that the HTTP/2 standard requires for non-encrypted connections? Worst case, your client and server toolings clash in a way that every request becom

I said limited support and gave curl as an example because curl --http2 sends a HTTP/1.1 upgrade request first so fails in a purely HTTP/2 environment. Thanks for bringing up --http2-prior-knowledge as a solution!

Good to know - neither the parent nor the article mention this. h2c seems to have limited support by tooling (e.g. browsers, curl), which is a bit discouraging. EDIT: Based on the HTTP/2 FAQ, pure h2c is not allowed in the standard as

Perhaps the number of letters should be another hint in addition to the first letter. However, I think it's quite obvious that the answer is a TLA when the clue is in the TLA format.

It seems people are mixing active and passive skills as well here: For example, if you don't speak or write a language (L1 or L2) for a while, those activities will become more difficult but it doesn't mean you would lose listenin

I'm not sure of these details. I see USSR abstained in 1948, but every current UN member country supposedly has signed it, so that would include (non-Soviet) Russia. A more important issue is that Russia is one of the countries that li

No, while you mirror, you are not in control. But sure, you can decide to stop the mirroring that you started even though now it puts you in a worse situation than where you started. Say, Lula sets the import tax at 100% - will Trump say &q

If the president of Brazil, Lula, decides to increase import taxes, the US will mirror this decision. As a result, Lula has set a tax rate that US applies on imports and that US buyers end up paying to the US government.
