Since parenthesis are just an arbritary sign, it's possible to replace it with something different that fulfills the same role in Lisp. An example for Lisp without parenthesis: https://dustycloud.org/blog/wisp-lisp

Maybe someone could try to install Wayland on an old device, where latest Xorg works fast, and see if Wayland also does. Comparison video would be nice.

Never underestimate the community. The Github project is gone, the people are not. I'm pretty sure they will find an good alternative to github (with Issues, Pull Requests and so on) to continue the collaborative work on youtube-dl.

I think that such problems requires humans to make a decision. There should be a vote mechanism / leader election / democratic process to give some people the power / admin role to solve these issues by manual intervention.

Isn't it possible to create many small playbooks, instead of a big one. This would allow you to just run the stuff you need. And if you need all e.g. for bootstraping then you can create one playbook that simply includes the smaller on

Yup. It's absolutely possible to determine whether you play versus a strength reduced/weak engine or a human. Humans make human plans and play according to human best practices, which you can find in chess literature. Engines, how

Exactly. At the moment there is no way to determine if a strong player used an engine for a single move or not (without proctoring). And one perfect move in a critical position can make all the difference. Also more subtle cheaters would ne

I think we need bare-metal serverless, same like we have bare-metal clouds. For that we need something like kubernetes but for serverless environments instead of containers.

I think it will be a win-win situation no matter what. If Google loose, we will see an even bigger shift to FOSS, which is obviously a win for the whole developer community. If Oracle loose well then things stay as they are, we are still mo

It's about meaninglessness. Maybe it's just me, but things (including life) that are finite are valuable and special for me. Also in terms of Lord of the Rings I would rather be a human or hobbit instead of an elf. But I respect e

I mean you can use your own brain and think about the idea of living forever and the consequences it would have. The more I think about it, the more it becomes a depressing idea at least for me.

Even if we assume we could somehow do this, I would recommend you to watch some Star Trek episodes with Q. Living forever can be even more depressing than to live one finite life.

Well you cannot play football, because this requires physical activity. But I think, yes, for games that just require 1D information exchange and thought, that's all it needs. Any 2D, 3D, 4D representation of that 1D information is jus

You can even play chess without any physical or digital 2D or 3D board. Blindfold Chess is a thing. The chess board in my mind is 3D, but this may vary from person to person. Game position and moves can be stored in 1D, just text. https:&#

The README.md contains install instructions for Debian and Ubuntu, these tend to outdate (not work) quite fast with newer versions of the distributions. Also if any of the low-level libraries BLAS, LAPACK or ARPACK updates, then the wrapper
