Actually this is a well known change to significant term relevancy. You need to double quote words to force inclusion in results. I'm not saying it was a good change.

The workplace culture this kind of Lord of the Flies management approach results in must be horrendous.

Is it really true? Do we belittle those of the Enlightenment period and it's artists and thinkers scientists and composers? I think we make fairer judgements of different periods of history based on fairly objective grounds. A lot of e

I suppose I could also argue if you value money over performance you would not upgrade at all. That's me right now. I guess I am one of those people who absolutely hates the idea of swapping out the ram, motherboard and cpu just for a

Well if the original gave the impression that kafka and zk were the same kind of software it must have been pretty bad.

Well, for starters it used to be fast (so we know it can be done and they have the source code to reference), so I imagine a couple of months of dev time (tens of thousands?) would be enough to make significant improvements.

What kind of web server would even be calling Perl CGI scripts in 1992? I thought it was all bulletin boards back then. Personally I just got my first PC and was learning to play Commander Keen in 1992 ;-)

It's interesting. I started Perl in around 2005, and moved entirely to Python in 2014, exactly when it reached it's peak and started to decline. Seems I wasn't the only one.

Wow a textbook example of a bandaid solution. Reminds me of something a novice programmer would do. When faced with a complex problem....nothing beats an even more complicated solution!
