Yes, CloudFlare has software, and I think that only further highlights the difference between a complex cloud provider and a piece of software. What good is CloudFlare's software without the vast global network to back it up? Pick a pr

On the one hand, I hear what you're saying. You root for the underdog long enough and they end up becoming the dominant player with the power to match. But this feels like a pretty apples-to-oranges comparison to me. Cloudflare has to

Really, that's not what this lawsuit was about, and the courts aren't supposed to tip the scales based the size of companies, are they? It's clear we need new laws to deal with the problems at hand. The ruling seemed pretty e

I'm sure Fortnite IAP would generate good money for Apple, but it's not enough to justify giving up the control they want to keep, rightly or wrongly.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, why doesn't this happen when you point two flashlights at each other? Or point a flashlight at the sun? Or when light from one star reaches another? Etc etc.

I guess we're splitting hairs over "reporting" and "self-reporting." I think the idea is that there is a layer - yes, a fallible, human one - between detection and reporting.

I could see working on Sidewalk as kind of a dream if you have no morals. A mesh network you can turn on with a flip of a switch, with millions of devices across the world? Seems really cool, if you don't care about privacy or security

This is really great. I love how flexible it is - I think BYO video chat / turn management is a fine tradeoff to make. Wish I knew about it a year ago!

Flexibits developed an app to do this search called Chatology ( https://flexibits.com/chatology ) but they've discontinued it since Big Sur came out. Works pretty well on my Mojave machine.

Console.group is one of my favorite features but Chrome does not handle filtering it very well. Basically, if you want to filter on a certain term, all the groups will remain, even if nothing from those groups (title, subfields, otherwise)

Electro / disco is not the right dichotomy, as their music has always sat at an intersection between genres. Homework, Discovery, and Human After All are all heavily sample-based, and there are like 1 or 2 samples on all of Random Acce
