I've just pinged the author in case they need to prepare or would like to submit themselves, or at least that it's a good time!

Just to add some context, have a look at the memory systems in https://aithought.com/ Creating a model of that might be a fun experiment, at the moment often agents sit in stasis waiting for interaction or new information,

Have you thought about implementing timelines, I've been messing around generating text with AI, then using AI create an extract that is time stamped, to give some temporal consistency, for creative use it doesn't have to be perfe

In the UK I quite often see peanuts sold in shells, I am sure there would be a market for these in our artisanal markets, people crave novelty!

I think that's going to be a geodesic in a hyper-dimensional manifold. There was an article here about 'wordlets' on a hyper-sphere and a piece on time and LLM and the relating manifold. Visualising LLM topology (multi-dimens

Does anyone have the resources to try this with PHATE ( https://www.nature.com/articles/s41587-019-0336-3 )

Would this kind of understanding aid in extracting 'skills' from an LLM by identifying the relevant topology and isolating that part? Then we could have a toolbox of skills to assemble into what we needed?

BOC sells a couple of Xmas smells, or did at least, from 1995, 'BOC's first big customer is Woolworths, where a whiff of cinnamon and a subtle hint of cloves will be in the air this Christmas' by 1997 it had become 'a he

I guess for games engines accuracy vs speed might benefit, once we have ways to 'prune' an individual trait from the best model into a micro-specialised optimised model then this stuff will be everywhere as a 'good enough

Wow, love this, thanks, such a broad subject that interdisciplinary opportunities must abound. Work like this combined with the huge amount of effort in open source work to move quickly from examples in papers to running code makes for an e

I'm finding Mistral good at creative literature and it is fairly adept at taking instructions, good enough for my purposes, and running locally on consumer CPU, the future of open source local models looks bright.

I agree with this, I should have been more specific, I really meant it from the researchers perspective, they are trying to make NN's that more closely model the brain for their brain research, not for AGI, so in that regard, the resea

Maybe, I think the research here is from a brain perspective, AI and Brain Science are having an interesting time, with learnings from both feeding in, so this article is focused on the physicality of networks in the brain, and looking at w

If I understand this correctly, they added a property to a NN of distance, and set the training to penalize increased distance between nodes to simulate a physical constraint, under these conditions 'hubs' emerged which facilitate
