Luke Smith, the FOSS + minimalism evangelist has a platform to solve this: https://based.cooking/ Shortform, straight to the point recipes. Just ingredients and steps. No ads. No life stories.

I'd give an IRC client/server a shot. The RFC is lengthy, but easy to follow. https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc1459

I used to work on person portable mass spectrometers. The biggest innovation hurdle is pulling vacuum in the MS manifold (for quadrupole mass spectrometers, at least). Nifty that they're given that for free in space, roughly.

Do you have a horse in this race? Are you the PR guy writing these emails? : ^ ) > What other tangibles do you want? In short-form: you're gone, here's why, here's some money. The diction doesn't need to be apologetic

I love rebase. It allows for a Draft PR workflow where you can have your WIP out in the open for a big project, and then clean it all up via rebasing right before asking for reviews. Just don't rewrite history on master. :^)

A bill that could raise gas prices as a tertiary outcome and push people towards green energy (read: tech) is pretty relevant to the people that'd be browsing hackernews IMO.

I'd be interested to see the man-hours-needed : people-helped ratio when it comes to user accessibility. There's certainly a threshold where it simply doesn't make sense to put in a man year's worth of work to cater to a

What's it like using C++ for something like an afib detector? I imagine you can't use much of the STL, _or_ you toss in your own custom allocators to everything.

I wonder if the author of this article has an existential crisis when typing `#include <stdio.h>` in a C file, since they didn't hand-craft the formatting and printing capabilities of the standard library.
