Not associated with this project (or LMQL), but one of the authors of LMQL, a similar project, answered this in a recent thread about it. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35484673#35491123 As a solution to thi

People are commenting core OS libraries and kernels, but the Space Jam movie website from 96 is still up. I bet the guy that wrote that didn't think it'd be around nearly 20 years later, I hope it never goes down. https:/&#x

The space jam website from 96 is still up :). Standards go a long way. https://www.spacejam.com/1996/jam.html

Also https://lmql.ai/ I think LMQL is the best example I've seen of the "forcing the LLM to walk a certain path" technique. It's a DSL written in Python for Python though, so it kinda constrains it'

Hey, tried your thing, it's a good start! The site itself is laid out very well, and the searches we're fast as hell. It looks useful, I hope you keep working on it. As a test I searched for "switch", I was being intenti

Nice job! I think you've really made the easiest possible API surface for adding LLM into apps. I'm not sure LangChain is going to be the best way to integrate LLM into apps in the future, and ActionIt definitely demonstrates that

Hey, this looked neat but it crashed for me. I'll open an issue on Github. I have a minor nitpick from watching the video though, it seems weird that you make people call --init before using the app. Just let me pass the OPEN_AI_API_KE

Hey, this is neat! I used it on a website I just threw together quickly, https://prlang.com . It provided a lot of good actionable information, mostly related to how I didn't design for mobile at all. It was mostly spot on w

Hey, tried your thing and have a few notes. In general I think this is a good idea, AI assisted learning for programming is an area where LLM's could really shine. Specifically to your demo though, on the step where it asks you to &quo

This is well executed but I feel like I've seen a few of these already, and it never takes that I use them. I always just end up asking ChatGPT what I want to do and then iterating from there. It's usually smart enough to figure m

This looks really interesting. I recently did something similar to this at https://prlang.com . Although my DSL is much simpler, and mostly focused on chaining multiple prompts together and handling their results, like a declarat

As an aside, I'd love to see the code you've got so far. How did you wire up the ReAct loop? Haystack, Langchain, or just direct API calls to OpenAI? Getting LLM's to talk to the LSP protocol directly seems like a good idea a

Wait, you cant just reinsert the condensed code into the original source file and then have it expand it? ChatGPT will already expand (or try to) a comment into an implementation for me. I'm sorry if I'm missing something obvious

Plus your tool is open source, and direct calls to the OpenAI API are a much cheaper than Copilot. If anything Copilot's looking like the redundant one here to me. Thanks for doing Promptr, it looks great I'm going to give it a sh

This feels like the future of programming to me. When trying to teach kids to code, a common complaint I've gotten is how rigid existing programming languages are. They mistype a little thing and then get some general error, and it imm

I've run into similar issues and had to switch back to Xorg. Aside from the major issues, the small things really killed my enthusiasm for Wayland. The one that really forced me back to Xorg is an extension for Gnome called "No Ti
