So if you had to double your servers (say to 140) would you be at loss? I hope that this is just the initial phase of the company (although not too initial since you need 70 instances) and that you will get to a better margin along the way.

And will only become a problem when you reach a huge scale. If by that time it is still a problem then maybe your problem is not having a good enough business model.

Everytime I see someone talking about "unlimited" something my spider sense ticks off. Except for Google, Amazon and some other big guys, most of companies will worry about lots of things before what you mentioned become a problem. Also, AW

If I had to, I would bet with no fear that web development today can be made with any tech stack (.net, ruby, python, etc) without signficant differences in schedule or effort put on it. Choosing stacks todays is pretty much a matter of tas

Why not write server code for Windows? I fail to see a major reason that would stop one from doing that. Actually, its a pretty good, well supported and documented and stable platform.

With ASP.NET if you are in a 32 bit machine (who still is?) you have edit and continue so you can do the same as in Play. AFAIK they are working to bring that to 64 bit machines too. Don't understand me wrong. I see a lot of value in Play.

Im talking about both. They should put it as a nice tech or whatever but not as something never done before. "One of the favorite features in Play" is being able to show errors in the browser and not in a log? What year is this? 1995?

Unless u have a very good reason to deploy and distribute 80 different DLLs it should feel wrong. Many people think that In order to have a well layered and decoupled application you need to breakup every single piece in a separate project

I know nothing about nothing, but having that many projects under the same solution its the biggest clue that you are doing something very wrong. Even if you have a reason to have 40 projects in what should looks like one solution you can s

I find it amusing that the title claims that the cost is 20% on every step but the article itself says that the value varies and is not unique for every business. What's the point of choosing 20% in an arbitrary way like this? Following thi

I'm surprised that no one yet said anything about the 18M being a fake number. These guys do this all the time. They spend 10M and release to the press that it was 20M. I work(ed) for more than one company that uses this strategy. The whole
