This surprises me. I didn't think they'd take submissions for the beta using the current preview sdk. There are a ton of issues and missing apis.

You can fault Windows Phone for the lack of apps but not for the usability of the OS itself. The OS is very polished. Use one for a couple weeks before you make a judgement call.

The OS is very fast. I have a Samsung Focus with a 1ghz processor and it runs much better than any android 2.x phone I've seen. I think Ice Cream Sandwich will finally add hardware acceleration (which Windows Phone 7 has had since launch) s

Multiple reasons imho: They got a great deal from Microsoft that Google wasn't willing to match, the OS is beautiful, plenty of existing Xaml developers, great platform + language and better tooling than Android or iOS.

I plan on blogging some detailed numbers soon for all my apps. Here is an example. This app does really well as a free app with ads. I have others that have done better as paid apps. Sticker Draw Blog post with video http://ideaindustries

This article wasn't about the design?... It was about the amount of imgur links and lolcats that get pushed to the front page and which subreddits to subscribe to to have a different reddit experience.

I'd love to see a good comparison from someone with a good bit of WPF/Silverlight/Xaml and Cocoa experience.

I get the general feeling that most people dislike iTunes. Many of the same people like the Zune software. In this case I think people just didn't try it. They already owned iPods when they were superior devices and never switched even when

Really? To me the Zune software is about 8 steps beyond iTunes. The UI is great, lots of nice touches, looks modern, it's fast. I can drag music and such to my phone even if I'm using someone else's Zune software.
