Svelte 3 was released 4 years ago. Svelte 4 had VERY few breaking changes, and those were in obscure corner cases. Four years in the JavaScript ecosystem denotes a very stable API. 99.9% of all Svelte 3 projects would likely need no code ch

Enterprises love Angular… which is now on version 16. Speaking from personal experience, the level of breakage between Angular versions (specifically v13 to something newer) is far greater than what was found in Svelte 3-to-4. Svelte is sub

With async/await and callbacks, it's as you say. I/O-based concurrency is by far the most common in JS, and I'd even go so far as say in almost any language. Not everyone needs multiple tasks using CPU at the same time n

While Ted Codd is no longer around, Chris Date is, and even he has admitted the original "academic" notion of what constitutes a proper relational domain in SQL was incomplete/flawed. I can't recommend this presentation

Good to know about INTERSECT and EXCEPT. MySQL can use computed columns to index individual JSON fields or serialize the whole thing to a varchar for a broad search, but that's not at all the same as indexing with hierarchical structur

Postgres has supported both binary and logical replication for many years now. In fact, in v16 (now in beta) it supports bidirectional replication (aka multi-master) out of the box [0]. Beyond that, the feature disparity between MySQL and P

No more a trap than 5.7. It's no Postgres, but 8.x is faster and far more feature-complete than 5.7. Adds CTEs, window functions, and more.
