These types of scenarios are why the U.S. requires a flight attendant to enter the cockpit when a pilot exits. I wouldn't be surprised if the agencies in Europe implement the same policy by the end of the week.

Thats a good point. I suppose you could use your taste as a guide to what you may be good at. But, like you said, there is that gap between investing the time and discovering if you are skilled at it.

Interesting to see how even though % with bachelor degrees has grown since 1980, salaries have decreased and poverty has increased. Obviously, not all correlated, but still interesting.
