I noticed the other morning that they’ve either re-written or are growing the win32k driver in rust. This was either in Server ‘25 or vNext though I can’t remember. Given win32k implements a good chunk of the kernel-mode graphics and window

I’m interested in what those who suffered outages as a result of crowdstrike told their insurers with respect to “QA’ing production changes” It’d be interesting to see if anyone tries to claim the outage as some sort of insurance event only

I remember leaving Rouge One _shocked_ that it was a self contained story, no post credits scenes, no need to commit to an entire trilogy or need to understand half a dozen recent releases. Given Marvel and similar franchises at the cinema

This reminds me of the argument GE made (from David Gelles book about Welch) that laying off staff is a kindness, as it lets them try and find a new job they’re “better suited for” sooner rather than later
