The benefit would be the return on investment, just like any other start-up they fund. In this case, their investment would be the time and effort they put into mentoring their companies and the legal fees they put into launching the crowd-

The important part is not the money, its the opportunity for people like me to invest in growing companies. The money is just the way the risk is transferred. Obviously, I would want the crowd sourced company to be a part of YC. The mentori

Legal terms cannot be copyrighted, so feel free to take a look around and cut and paste from some sites you like. Most of the terms can be figured out pretty easily, its the ones you leave out because you're not a lawyer that will come back

We have mostly normal hours, although my co-founder less so because she works a real job during the daytime. We're kind of expected to have reasonable hours because we're a travel magazine, and all work and no play would be bad for our imag

I agree with the above. the laptop is not IP, just property. If it's wiped clean there isn't really an issue. You get a $1500 laptop in exchange for your shares. If you don't think it's worth it, then ask for some more cash or something.

Yeah, I second this. I don't get many emails because I've taken myself off the all lists. Can't the OP do the same? No twitter notifications, no FB notifications, remove yourself from all RSS feeds that you never look at, all mailing lists.

The amount of traffic generated by being on the front page is huge compared to not being on the front page. Our launch resulted in 41 website visitors total for the day. So having a hook and catching the HN community's attention with someth

Ah, I can see why you might not have gotten a great response. That's something very specific that a person wouldn't really be interested in unless they're hiring or need a job. Its also something people would wait and see how it turns out b

That's not much to go on. What's your business about? It could be that your idea is great but your launch page didn't do a great job exciting people.

I would second both the above posts. Don't do anything now but launch. There may be room for two companies and you'll do just fine. Go after the larger market first, you can always pivot later. Just getting your company launched takes a lot
