Maybe it's not just because you are more exposed to germs on the plane. One possibility is that air on planes is quite dry, and you are not drinking enough, which would stress your system. Or there can be a combination of conditions th

From the title and description, where the ORG is described as the "UK's EFF", I got the impression that the ORG is affiliated with the EFF, but on the website it seems that it isn't. Maybe it would have been better descr

Or the way we look at people who thought heavier than air flying objects are impossible by laws of physics. Did any people actually think this? That would be weird, considering how we are surrounded by heavier-than-air flying animals.

I know it's normally a good idea to avoid code duplication, but in this case I would have copied the function inside kms_functions into both kmsn and kmsp, since this removes the dependency on readlink and also makes it possible to mov

The title "Leaving Academia" made me expect the author to have been in academia for some time, and not as a student, and to have decided to move on to something else. The article is not about leaving academia, but about not joinin

That depends on what you mean by touch. If by touch you mean modify the code, then you may be right. But if by touch you mean use, you are wrong.

The free software philosophy is about giving freedom to people to modify and share code. Code is not a person, it does not need to be free or to be treated ethically for its own sake. The GPL is in no way like PETA.

The GPL makes a contributor agreement necessary if the original developer wants to distribute a version that does not comply with the GPL. With the MIT license, the original developer can distribute a proprietary version without a CA.
