Why not just go with C++? You'd still need UI code specific to Android, iOS and Qt, but you could keep your logic layer shared between all of them.

It's definitely possible but hard to do well; dependency management is a pain.

Archiving information is only one function of libraries. They are community spaces, social equalizers, educational institutions, and temporary shelter, among other things.

Thanks to the Disney Vault, you can't even buy most of the movies if you want to. I wouldn't expect that to change much.

"He gave it to Eliot and me," is correct. "Eliot and me gave it to him," is not. "He gave it to Eliot and I," would be an example of hypercorrection.

Depends. Is it a subject or an object?

Yes, the latter- you can take either side ad absurdum, though the teaspoon side is easier to mischaracterize. Single-variable optimization is easy; multivariate is much harder especially when wetware is involved.

Oregon Dept of Transportation (ODOT) is expecting the single largest traffic event in Oregon history. Over one million people are expected to travel to the path of totality within the state.

Totality is a completely different experience from a 99% eclipse. We are uniquely situated within the solar system in that the relative distances and sizes of the moon and sun mean they're nearly identical in size to us. With a 99% cov

Strictly inferior by one metric. There are other factors to optimize for, e.g. rate of environmental destruction, median life satisfaction, social cohesiveness, breadth of knowledge vs specialization.

Another factor he fails to account for is that big eCommerce companies are willing to operate at a hefty loss for the moment in pursuit of market share.

Agreed. I don't see the use case for Reddit to be a SPA. Given that it's a list of documents linked together, I can't see a better use case for a plain old static hypertext document.

This reputation is meritless these days. I work remotely from a desirable town, with, ahem, very competitive pay, 4 weeks vacation, generous RSUs, etc. It's the outdated reputation rather than the actual facts that inhibits hiring IME.

Have you tried in:<channel> <search query>? Seems to work ok for me. Similarly, using from:<user> <search query> is useful.

The best writing I ever did was on an Alphasmart 2000 word processor [0]. I'm way better at getting my thoughts down using a keyboard than pen and paper, but computers are just too distracting. This little thing was perfect. A 4-line b

Niwot has virtually no housing supply and what is there isn't much cheaper than Boulder. If you want more affordable, you go to Longmont or further.

Any idea why Hood River, OR doesn't factor in? Is there a minimum population cutoff? With 5 breweries and a population of 7,624 it comes out to 65 breweries per 100k.

Oregonians seem to overcompensate for their beer and undercompensate for their skiing. I came from Colorado; when I say Oregon skiing's good I get strange looks, but when I say the beer scene is equal, them's fightin' words.

They have taken the explicit view that Craigslist is a local service. Providing cross-city functionality would undermine that view.
