I'm not sure that the idea that an encyclopaedia should be targeted to only the already well educated, especially one with the goal that Wikipedia has is much short of elitism.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but instead I agree with the author's sentiment as represented here -- not specifically on Ka/s however. I spend a considerable portion of my time reading Wikipedia articles and very much enjoy

I also recently upgraded the GPU in my ~4 year old PC, it cost me only the price of the new GPU and it's one of the only upgrades I've needed to make in that time. It sounds like you're kind of an outlier in the build your ow

Some time ago I too resolved to do this properly and with my limited bash-fu wrote a script to automate the process of installing GPG to a master USB key you can physically secure which can be used to drop a subkey on a PC. Most of the stuf

There's also EventSource, which I've had some luck with. It's more REST-y, I find.

You could use something like YubiKey and regularly check for its presence.

It would be great if you could back up your statements with citations so the burden of proof wasn't on me doing research in Google Scholar.

If Cities: Skylines has taught me anything, I can answer this question without reading the article. First, dead bodies start to build up in various buildings, especially well-trafficked buildings such as high density commercial buildings an

I remember pretty clearly reading a comment by the author of the paper about the 'unbreakable obfuscation' in which he said that the paper was greatly misrepresented in that it had made a proof in a specific problem domain that wa

This is incorrect. As I believe the author notes, Same Origin Policy prevents you accessing the results of endpoints you can CSRF with at least one exception (JSONP). The author uses the timing of the forged response to determine if the val

Depends on what is controlling your WiFi, with netctl, most all the profiles have plain passwords in them, unless you configured otherwise. These profiles are located in /etc/netctl, so cat-ing the correct file under sudo will giv

It's a nice list of items, but I don't feel like it's informed from actual penetration tests on Go apps. Bad Content-Type headers and DNS rebinding affect almost every Go web application out there. Any naked Go server is usu

Where's the sexism in e-sports? I don't really have a position here, I just wanted to know. My gut feeling is that there will be a very high percentage of e-sports players who are men because the majority of competitive video game

When I see things like this, it makes me wonder how much data forms each of these vectors; if a single article were to say things about Obama, or humans and animals, would it produce these results?

There's likely a couple of factors which could include these: * A breach to internal database level would, in the majority of systems mean the attacker already has all the keys to use the database system * A database cannot perform a l

I'm not sure how "unreasonable" the effectiveness of RNNs are if the corpus output at 2000 iterations isn't significantly better than a simple prefix based markov chain implementation [1] (and for the regular languages,

Anything that adds to the DOM or uses the rebindable Javascript APIs is going to be detectable, anything more on Google's part is just security through obfuscation.

Or, you know, use the Javascript DOM APIs? They're really not at all that bad. var d = document.createElement("div"); d.className = "new"; d.innerHTML = "<p>Hi Sprint</p>"; Skim
