Why? It involves a safety system! That needs to be tracked publicly and updated! Nothing more than an OTA - does not mean much when everything is fly by wire and a bug could mean your car does not stop accelerating or something. True, but

It's technically a recall, but it's fixed with an OTA update. But the fact that any "defect" that can be fixed with an OTA update is called a "recall" is confusing to consumers and contributes to media sensati

I would say that there is a lot of overlap. And at least in the US, a masters degree is required for most librarian positions (at least from what I remember, not sure if that's changed over the years).

I know a few people who are teachers, or related fields like librarians, and I would say they all are smart, hard working and care quite a bit about their students. They are all underpaid and reaching the point of burnout of the entire syst

I'm not sure how you reward outcomes of teaching without also actively discouraging teachers from taking positions at any school that could be seen as "struggling" from an academic perspective.

This types of replies aren't really helpful, unless your goal is to elicit some form of "And this response reeks of bootlicking" styled response. Which I can't imagine was your intent.

I'm sure they spent a lot of time thinking about this, but why not just call it something "Linode by Akamai" or "Akamai Linode"? Neither "Akamai’s cloud computing services" or "Akamai Connected Cloud

The visuals are pretty rough and the map is small. The map size actually is a blessing though since your character moves at a snails pace. The gameplay, especially from a melee perspective, is rough at best, and directly unfun at its worst.

Wow, I had definitely forgotten that was being worked on still, it's been a long time since I've played it. Also reminded me that I backed Camelot Unchained that's still kicking around in development after all these years.

Social media has taken a significant bite out of what I would consider the more important parts of the older MMOs, especially when it comes to apps like Discord. Not enough people want to interact in games anymore outside of specific gamepl

I'm in the leadership position you describe, and I've found remote work to be amazing for teaching because of screen-sharing. I'm in a agreement on this. I find reviewing changes much easier with screen-share than in person

Just like YouTube most content is crap. There is a huge difference between "there is lots of crap content to wade through to get to the good content" and "I can't find content that isn't crap". My foray into

While this sentiment is common, I've honestly never had this experience. Every Windows experience I've had post-Me has been a slow but steady improvement in stability. I have Windows 10 for work and Windows 11 at home and I honest

This sort of content could thrive on peertube, they don't have to win over the "influence career" people. But this isn't 15 years ago. There wasn't a huge player in this space when Youtube was getting started, but

It also shows how the web (and technology in general) would be a lot more better for us if we decided to support these people just a little bit, instead of letting ourselves be exploited by Big Tech in exchange of "free" stuff.

Sounds like Sprocket Masters should really outsource their two sites to a an agency that specialises in maintaining such solutions for SMEs... But those agencies don't want to have to staff for maintaining physical hardware either...

I think the problem with public schools is really the teachers. They have put themselves on a pedestal and been conditioned into a serious superiority complex. Actually, the problem is the parents who either don't care about their ch
