If you really want to go down that rabbit holy: ".no-hsts" is still not taken, I believe so you can probably set it up as a private TLD in your hosts file.

https://icannwiki.org/.dev The ICANN Wiki specifically lists the .dev domain as proposed, not delegated. Which means they can also just kill it and Google won't have it.

Just as a note; .dev is not yet an official TLD, it's on the status "proposed" which means that google is basically the highest priority on the waiting list. .foo is delegated and thusly a full TLD, yes. On the other hand,

TBH, I haven't seen many websites that offer eID functionality, so I haven't bothered setting it up.

I'm personally quite in love with Arch on my Desktop machine. It's an almost pure developer setup, I quite regularly install bleeding edge (-git from AUR) of various software, I tinker around. Arch makes that rather easy. When som

Simple solution: Don't auto-autofill, ask the user, then autofill. I setup my Keepass Plugin to not autofill forms and provide autocompletion only. That way it doesn't automatically spam any logins it can find into whatever form i

That sounds like a lovely pipe-dream. I severely doubt any big player picks it up on grounds of it being cheaper and less energy intensive to simply greylist or blacklist.

That does not sound terrible useful. For one, it'll only work if both sender and receiver use it. Which means for 99.99% of mail traffic right now, it is utterly meaningless. edit: Plus you also literally wasted everyone's time an

How much work would you propose is sufficient that grandma doesn't mind but spammers will be severely hampered in their sending and in a manner that doesn't require the receiver to store too much state?

I mainly write in Go. My adopted approach is to be pragmatic about how I approach my problems. I kinda tend to start with a OOP style for the data models and a small shake of FP for the functions but change this according to my needs. There

I'm a mastodon user, so I might be a bit biased, but I find it a lot better than twitter. Different servers can also carter to different cultures or groups so you can find your own niche there.

I've long been a fan of PostgreSQL over MySQL. I do recommend to read through the PGSQL manual (thick PDF file but you can work through the important parts in a week), it's a joy to read compared to the MySQL one.

I solved this for my objects in two ways. 1) admin accounts are generated on startup with random passwords. These are printed on the console on the first startup only. 2) in a configuration format I use, there is a special keyword for using

I'm curious as well, my estimates based on data from a 5MT explosion being about 6.8 on the scale and various formulas, I'd get into the megaton range, then again, other methods do arrive at a sub-100kT range too.

My homepage has about 81kb of data to transfer, including images. If you turn off images, you get in with 12kb of data. I think 12kb of data should be transferred faster than even the more lighter JS frameworks around...

That shouldn't be an issue if all parties trust the Third party. It is only an issue if there is sufficient lack of trust that the involved fear such a thing would happen. Otherwise a block chain is overkill.
