Food is so cheap, at last in USA, that no one should go without minimal nutrients. I'm all for providing basic stuff to who needs it. Humanity, sacrifice to the gods or whatever, just do it. Filet Mignon is a different story

Oh yeah, let's bring every programmer from India /China in USA at $30k a year so companies pay less US programmers and fire 30+ year old ones. Bring in the best only, and $90k is a good salary requirement

Maintenance is the likely missing link. Get a brand one and don't do maintenance for a while and you'll get the same result. A lot of countries have these subs and airplanes but not enough money for training, maintenance and so on
