My personal opinion is that this somewhat leads individuals to become entitled and less independently driven. And where does this end? People should be able to dig into things that are not always rainbows and unicorns. Inspiration is always

The way I see it as alcohol makes it easier to relax and open up social settings, but definitely not necessary. In my experience the hard part of loneliness is to get out of your house and put yourself in social situation at first place, an

I had the first same thought. But then also, media has always been alarmist/click-baity, and that's the way story is told. That's true whether its Fox News or New York Times. Doesn't make this story necessarily wrong, bu

My ex who wasn't from stem background was learning Python. Its very anecdotal, but few things I very well remember was: (1) Here getting confused with scopes. E.g. assigning variable in one function and using it somewhere else, mixing

I'm not sure if "visa situation keeps their hands tied" is correct. Its certainly more paperwork sure, but given the current job market its quite easy to switch jobs on H1B or even OPT.

I found mac installation pretty straightforward, and works quite well. I've been using for work for few months now. brew tap d12frosted/emacs-plus brew install emacs-plus@28 --with-native-comp

Before LSP, it was always annoying getting things setup. You want to get serious with a new language, spend a day configuring Emacs first. Or, fix your 3 year old config. Now it all pretty much just works! With native-comp its even better.

Yes, I think being little extreme either ways is bad. If TDD makes it hard to test certain new thing we are implementing, maybe do it some other way. I've found functional style of programming, or just decomposing functions into smalle

I'd say, keymaps + GIFs are nice. For example, I may have never have tried magit or swiper[1] in its early days, if I had not seen someone use it. Keymaps I can configure rather easily, UI flows not so much. [1] https://writ
