The first thing I always do is define log. It's bonkers to use console.log() for js. a simple window.log=console.log. Secondly, in your example, no need to label the names. This is almost always understood by context. So, pretty manage

This is something that does not require a debugger perse. this is something that can be implemented by a "smart" log. beside the log entry there might be a button to see the trace + state at those points. could even allow log() to

If that's the only prompt, that's honestly incredible.

Thanks! But I didn't see any hints to the AI about being sarcastic or humorous. Was the initial prompt the only prompt, or were there other prompts? What about per-chapter prompts? Or did the AI pump out the chapter names as well?

Some really funny gems, and actually very true! This whole thing is incredibly humorous. And surprisingly, very pleasant to learn from. Please let me know the prompt. Quote1: "useEffect is React's answer to the question, "How

Why do many people not understand this? It's bloated. And doesn't do it's core competency (hint UI/UX design) well.

You're not alone. Absolutely bloated.

Okay, that makes sense. So they had a base backup (which was 4 days old), and 4 days worth of WAL log had to be replayed.

Wait, the prod db, like the whole thing? Losing 4 days of data? How does that work. Aren't customers upset? Not doubting your account, but maybe you missed something, because for a $1 billion company, that's likely going to have h

You're correct. Versioned docs = major maintenance headache. What if you want to add some new content that is applicable to all versions? Docs are notorious already for not being updated. Adding "versioned docs" exponentially

That's not exceptional IMHO. It's a good effort, but not exceptional. Exceptional apps scream "wow" and are feature rich, with great UI/UX. Example of exceptional apps are Obsidian, TablePlus, Transmit (by panic),

Isn't Datapacket considered high-end? I mean, it has glowing reviews from top-tier companies. And would a bad IP address even matter for a SaaS app? Perhaps only if my server was interacting with your server, or sending mail, correct?

FYI, I have come across OVH, which is something I want to avoid. Why? Among other things, I find the UI of the console terrible. It really is bad; Hetzner on the other-hand is incredible. But they have no US-based dedicated boxes.

Yes. But also from the perspective of saving time. If it saves an additional 2 hours/month, and you make six figures, it's worth it. And the perspective of frustration as well. Business class is 4x the price of regular. definitely

I agree 100%. This is the cause of endless confusion, especially in crossplatform text files. Not to mention parsing programmatically.

When I see a Rust post, I don't buy into the hype. It's usually compared with raw C, even C++. This is not a good comparison IMHO, since C/C++ has too many footguns/confusions. Instead, compare it to a nicer/stricte

I'd say Http1.1 is good enough for most people, especially with persistent connections. Http2 is an exponential leap in complexity, and burdensome/error-prone for clients to implement.
