Do you mean leaning on rules like: .myWidgetClass form{ ... } .myWidgetClass form >input{ ... }

Yes, and I wish 100% would respect that implicit width but it doesn't. Try it

Not if the parent or ancestors don't have a width set... Hence why you need context.

I think it probably depends on how they spend it. Investments that increase efficiency would be long-term deflationary. Infrastructure, education, research etc. All the obvious stuff we all know we need more of.

It's not really ideological but practical. If you don't want accrual of resources into small pockets of people, it needs to be mixed around. The "entitlement" the government has is their transitory monopoly on violence.

Yes. But importantly its not the printing of money that was the problem either. If you think about the path money takes especially the furlough: government -> consumer -> big capital (Petro/chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Food Conglo

It's tragedy of the commons. A series of events that have happened which has misaligned the market into an unspoken cartel. An opportunity (or temporary need) arose to raise prices and now they don't want to lower them. They are l

What's your stance on WebGPU - from my understanding it could be perfect thing for Futhark to target, as it would allow for truly portable GPU code both hardware and platform-wise.

There's no hoarding or saving. The wage/rent ratio is insanely skewed. This isn't a 'be smart' situation it's a 'something has to change before the bottom falls out' situation.

Yes I definitely agree with that sentiment. Some things unfortunately happen faster with community support. Platform integrations, toolchains etc that require a lot of busywork. But I think I'll cautiously move with Odin regardless as

I want to invest in Odin but I see the velocity and growing mindshare that Zig has and I wonder if it's not better to settle for that. Also how do you find the compile times?

It's worked before. Some places in the world have a healthier housing situation and it didn't happen by accident. Politics doesn't go away no matter how many buildings you burn down.

Housing shouldn't be an investment vehicle. It seems pretty obvious but no-one wants to give up their imaginary number. (Imaginary because most people have 1 or fewer houses and will always need to live somewhere, so they can't sp

Can you explain this point a bit more? I've always hated retained mode GUI systems and im-guis seem so much nicer to work with. But I've not made something huge with them. What do you mean by compositing in this context?

Tail wagging the dog. Land costs wouldn't be millions if you couldn't turn the thumbscrews on tenants. To be a little less glib, it's easy to imagine other non-profit funding structures such as co-ops and government help (dir
