Whoah good point. Man for how small that market is they sure spend a lot of time screwing it up. Given their closed systems, do Google, Meta and TikTok have tighter controls over ads served to kids that they just aren't applying, or is

Even at our solar system's scale it can seem slow. Pluto gets to about 50AU from the sun, but the Oort cloud is between 2,000 and 5,000 AU from the sun. 24 1/2 days until something reaches earth vs almost seven years.

And Programmatic advertising makes this extremely difficult. Once you add a giant, automated ad exchange to advertising you've created opaque supply chains that help make it trivial to obfuscate who actually makes money from an ad. Thi

My guess is that journalism failed this election and social media won it. * Advertising is failing for news sites, so paywalls are becoming the new thing. Those are a barrier to entry for most potential readers. * As one of the largest soci

Oh totally -- I apologize if I came across as flippant or sarcastic I wasn't trying to; it's a serious question. For me personally, if the world's economy relies on slave labor then it's a pretty broken economy and it&#x

For you personally, which is more important, the economic problems that come with this with having to re-source these materials from somewhere else, or the byproduct of (we assume) the US having less slave labor in its supply chain? I can s

Cloudflare is a company, not a public utility. If they want to disallow any sites that make fun of cuttlefish they get to do that. If you want a CDN that follows the rules of a public utility I think you're out of luck on this planet.

There's a cool book I didn't finish White Bread by Aaron Bobrow-Strain. It talks about the history of store bought bread supplanting home baked bread, and the marketing wars waged both for and against store bought bread. I'm
