Some suggestions: 1) Make sure your site complies with the AdSense TOS and then hope Google will restore AdSense eventually? 2) In the meantime, serve ads from a different ad network. 3) There are many other ways to leverage web traffic int

There's an Etsy blog post where they explain what a B Corp is and why they wanted to be certified as one [1]. "It’s like a LEED or Fair Trade certification, but for a business, not just a building or a bag of coffee." [1] ht

Many years ago, HowStuffWorks was making amazing, in-depth technical explanation articles, but I think Wikipedia has won that game (and it links to more in-depth references if you want them). The HowStuffWorks podcasts are pretty good. Mayb

The article didn't mention the sticky tape method of making graphene, but they did put a link to an article about that [1]. Sticky tape (or Scotch tape) can also be used to make X-rays [2]. Now the only question is how to use a blender

I'm willing to make a bet that you'll come back to your question ("Does DO actually need and warrant an encyclopedia entry?") in a few years and get a good laugh. Meanwhile, this article has no problem surviving on Wikip

In response to 1: If all the genetics in a crop are nearly identical, that may make the crop uniforms and predictable, but it also makes the crop uniformly susceptible to drought, disease or crop predators (e.g. insects). That's great

Yes, NASA did recover the shuttle's solid rocket boosters, but for a different definition of "recover." They fell into the ocean and required an expensive overhaul.

If you browse the RoboVM website, you'll find that you can (or will soon be able to) buy a support subscription. As for a JavaScript to native compiler, check out Appcelerator Hyperloop [1]. It's currently experimental. [1] https

When you refer the the "large install base" associated with Canonical, I assume you mean Ubuntu on servers. Lots of people do run Ubuntu on AWS, but Amazon never needed to own Canonical to make that possible. The Kindle Fire OS is

The app seems to want to serve three different markets: 1) people seeking housemates, 2) people hiring employees, and 3) people looking for platonic friends. The first two markets are already well-served by other services. The third is inte

It seems like it would start wiggling side-to-side after a while. Need more triangles! Maybe a strut from lower right to upper left, with an upwards arc in the strut to give legroom?

I'm told that QuarkXPress was once the leader in page layout for magazines etc. I wonder if it's still a viable alternative. Apparently you can get it for $850.

It's not optimal, but Adobe does have a single-app plan, so you could get InDesign CC for $20 per month, every month, for the rest of your life… I wonder if you've tried TeX and family. XeTeX has full OpenType support.

Maybe it makes sense to use MongoDB when you're just getting started, before you fully understand the data, so it's easy to add new attributes/columns etc. But why even bother with MongoDB? You could just use a text editor to
